  • My favorite quote:
    • “There’s no talent here, this is hard work. This is an obsession. Talent does not exist, we are all equals as human beings. You could be anyone if you put in the time. You will reach the top, and that's that. I am not talented. I am obsessed.” – Conor Mcgregor

Jonas Anez

Trainer

Hailing from Willmar, MN, Jonas brings the grit, discipline, and competitive spirit of a lifelong wrestler into every training session. A current captain on the MSUM wrestling team and a two-time Minnesota AAA state place winner with over 125 career wins, Jonas has been on the mat since he was three years old. His journey hasn’t been without challenges—after losing his father, coach, and mentor at age 13, and overcoming two ACL surgeries, he developed a deep appreciation for resilience and self-reliance in athletic performance.

Jonas earned his degree in Exercise Science from Minnesota State University Moorhead and has a diverse background in athlete development. He’s run his own online athlete training business, trained athletes in a CrossFit gym, and coached strength and conditioning for college football and basketball programs. His coaching resume also includes years of youth and high school wrestling instruction, specializing in helping wrestlers maximize their performance.

In his training, Jonas focuses on three key areas: reactive power for agility and explosiveness, speed in sport-specific positions, and building strength tailored to the demands of the athlete’s sport. His mission is simple: to be the best resource for knowledge and results, so no athlete has to face the same trial-and-error path he once did.

The most rewarding part of his job is seeing athletes’ confidence grow as their hard work pays off—watching them step onto the mat or field knowing they’re ready to perform at their peak. To Jonas, success means leaving your sport having given everything you have to become the best version of yourself, and walking away with a sense of inner fulfillment.

Hardworking, passionate, and competitive, Jonas lives by the advice that patience is rare, but the most valuable things in life require it. He also believes in holding your family close, trusting in your abilities, and keeping faith in Christ—values that have shaped his life and the way he trains others. His perspective has been shaped by a commitment to living fully in the present and giving 100%—both in sport and in life.
